Meet CJ Wood, a passionate and hardworking musician dedicated to nurturing the local music scene. With his undeniable talent and warm personality, CJ has become a beloved figure in his community.Born and raised in Warwick, his love for music blossomed at an early age
CJ's musical journey began when he started taking guitar lessons at the age of 9.
From that moment on, he dedicated countless hours to honing his craft, practicing diligently and immersing himself in various genres.
His dedication and relentless pursuit of perfection shaped him into a versatile musician capable of captivating audiences with his soulful voice, impressive guitar skills, and memorable songwriting.
Recognising the importance of supporting aspiring musicians, CJ took it upon himself to create a space for newcomers to showcase their talent.
He started hosting open mic nights at a local cafe, providing a platform for budding artists to share their music with a supportive audience.
CJ's infectious enthusiasm and genuine encouragement have fostered a welcoming environment, inspiring many to step out of their comfort zones and pursue their musical dreams.

What does CJ do?
In addition to hosting open mic nights, CJ is also an accomplished solo performer. His live performances are an amalgamation of his eclectic musical influences, ranging from blues and folk to rock and pop.
CJ's ability to effortlessly switch between genres and adapt his style to suit different venues and audiences has made him a sought-after act at local venues, festivals, and private events. Whether he's performing heartfelt ballads or energising crowds with upbeat tunes, CJ's performances are always a delightful experience for everyone in attendance.
His covers set includes acoustic classics and modern indie favourites from the likes of The Kooks, Van Morrison and Ed Sheeran. His versatile song list can cater for an upbeat or chilled atmosphere.
He regularly co-hosts popular open mic nights in Leamington and Birmingham, showcasing up and coming musicians from the area.
CJ also writes original music and his album Mercy Dagger and Sleeping Sails is available to listen to on iTunes, Spotify and Soundcloud, influences for his original music include Bob Dylan, Richard Thompson, Jack Johnson and John Mayer.
